ANOTHER DESTINATION REACHED! ACTUALLY WE DIDN'T PLAN TO COME HERE. HAHAHA SO UNEXPECTED! BUT YET WE DID SO MUCH FUN, FROM TAGAYTAY, WE RENT A TRICYCLE FOR php300 FOR THE THREE OF US. ITS TAKE AN HOUR TO REACHED THE RESORT. ITS WAS A SCARY RIDE ON THE TRICYCLE BECAUSE OF THE ZIGZAG WAY DOWN TO THE RESORT. THEN ON THE RESORT WE RENTED A BOAT AND IT COST php1100, YES, THAT'S A LOT OF MONEY TO SPEND FOR US, STUDENTS.. BUT YET IT DOESN'T MATTER, ALL WE WANT IS TO ENJOY AND HAVE FUN:) ACTUALLY WE DIDN'T REACH THE CRATER OF TAAL VOLCANO, WE ONLY GONE ON THE SEASHORE. BUT ITS OK..MAYBE NEXT TIME, BUT IT IS ANOTHER WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE FOR THE THREE OF US:) AND ITS REALY MORE FUN IN PINAS!
The Japanese Garden along Lake Caliraya (in Laguna) is a memorial park built by the Japanese government in the 1970s in order to commemorate the Japanese soldiers who died during the Second World War. According to some locals/legends, it is also the burial site of General Yamashita of the Yamshita treasure fame. An altar located at an elevated portion of the garden is usually visited by the Japanese; in this shrine/altar, they offer prayers and gifts to the spririts of the dead soldiers. According to the Laguna government website, the main altar/shrine is made up of marble and located in an elevated part of the garden. How to get to Japanese Garden (Lake Caliraya) By commuting: Take a ride at the Sta Cruz-bound bus of HM Transit on EDSA Cubao or Green Star on LRT/Taft Ave. The bus will go through South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and will exit at Calamba tollgate.
