If you were planning for a quick and budget friendly gateway with your friends or family you should check this place.Just a few hours away from Manila, located at Mataas na Kahoy Batangas City, hides a beautiful place. Shercon Resort one of the most popular resort in Batangas.You can either have a Daytour or overnight. They also have Villas of course if you want to stay overnight and some Kubo for the Daytour guest.They have many activities to offers aside from swimming pools.  Here are some photos. Japanese Garden

The Japanese Garden along  Lake Caliraya  (in Laguna) is a memorial park built by the Japanese government in the 1970s in order to commemorate the Japanese soldiers who died during the Second World War. According to some locals/legends, it is also the burial site of General Yamashita of the Yamshita treasure fame. An altar located at an elevated portion of the garden is usually visited by the Japanese; in this shrine/altar, they offer prayers and gifts to the spririts of the dead soldiers. According to the Laguna government website, the main altar/shrine is made up of marble and located in an elevated part of the garden. How to get to Japanese Garden (Lake Caliraya) By commuting: Take a ride at the Sta Cruz-bound bus of HM Transit on EDSA Cubao or Green Star on LRT/Taft Ave. The bus will go through South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and will exit at Calamba tollgate. Yambu Lake, Nagcarlan Laguna Philippines

We come here last January 1, 2013. everything is really unexpected and out plan! Actually we are planning  to go in Mt. Makiling, but it's still close due to the incident happens regarding to the death of two students at mud spring. But since we have a car, we just go with the flow. We go on road trip to find a perfect place to go by and to have picnik. It's about an hour and  still we are in the road. We don't know were we are going, just go with the flow of the road. hahahaha, on our way to San pablo we see a sign board that is pointing to la lake and that is that Yambo Lake, we follow the trail, a long and seems like never ending road. but when we got their, everything is so perfect. Nice place, fresh air, and not populated, very far from the scene we can see in our everyday life. The people are friendly and very hospitable. Mt. Maculot:))

Dec. 20,2012,  the most unforgettable date in my entire life:)) I finally did climb a mountain! Ever since it was my dream to on hiking, but i don't have enough time or enough strength to prove to myself that i can make it. But on that date, i did it! I was with my sister and it is our first time to go in their, we actually don't hire a guide to lead us on the summit, but the trails are easy to follow. I was very tired then,i want to give up and go home, but my sister cheers me up! We are like idiots laughing at the middle of the nowhere. But when he reach the summit, all of the hard works  have done on our way to to the top are all gone! Everything is perfect from here at the top. Fresh air and nothing but all the beauty that God had made. I want to go back in here. I love this Mountain! This is the first mountain i ever climb:)) My memory card got corrupted but, yet i still have those memory on my brains, and it will forever stays on my mind.

TAAL VOLCANO EXPEDITION

ANOTHER DESTINATION REACHED! ACTUALLY WE DIDN'T PLAN TO COME HERE. HAHAHA SO UNEXPECTED! BUT YET WE DID SO MUCH FUN, FROM TAGAYTAY, WE RENT A TRICYCLE  FOR php300 FOR THE THREE OF US. ITS TAKE AN HOUR TO REACHED THE RESORT. ITS WAS A SCARY RIDE ON THE TRICYCLE BECAUSE OF THE ZIGZAG WAY DOWN TO THE RESORT. THEN ON THE RESORT WE RENTED A BOAT AND IT COST  php1100, YES, THAT'S A LOT OF MONEY TO SPEND FOR US, STUDENTS.. BUT YET IT DOESN'T MATTER, ALL WE WANT IS TO ENJOY AND HAVE FUN:) ACTUALLY WE DIDN'T REACH THE CRATER OF TAAL VOLCANO, WE ONLY GONE ON THE SEASHORE. BUT ITS OK..MAYBE NEXT TIME, BUT IT IS ANOTHER WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE FOR THE THREE OF US:) AND ITS REALY MORE FUN IN PINAS!

BATO SPRINGS, SAN PABLO LAGUNA

THIS IS MY FIRST SUMMER ESCAPE FOR THIS YEAR.. ALTHOUGH ITS LATE BECAUSE ITS ALREADY MAY, BUT STILL I CATCH IT.  WE WENT TO BATO SPRINGS, IN SAN PABLO.. ITS ABOUT AN HOUR TO GO THERE FROM CALAMBA LAGUNA. THE ENTRANCE FEE IS DEPENDS ON DAYS, AND IT IS STATED BELOW AT THE SECOND PICTURE. THE AMBIANCE IS RELAXING AND NICE, SINCE IT WAS NATURE. AND THE MOST EXCITING THING HERE IS WHEN WE MAKE A SPLASH IN THE WATER.  IT IS VERY COLD.. YET IS STILL RELAXING SINCE WE CAME FROM CALAMBA WHERE THE TEMPERATURE IS VERY HOT . EVERYTHING IS FUN AND EXCITING. WE ENJOY EVERYTHING IN THERE. AND IN THE END.. WE ALWAYS SAYS THAT    "ITS MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES!!!"
